La digue à la mer – Gacholle lighthouse (26 km)
From the east of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, take the path along the beaches past the thalassotherapy center.
This leads to the digue à la mer, a strip of land between the Mediterranean and the marshes, on the edge of the Réserve nationale de Camargue.
After around 13 km, you’ll reach the Gacholle lighthouse.
Return by the same route.

Le Bac du Sauvage (30 km)
From the west of the village, take the D38 towards Aigues-Mortes.
After around 6 km, the Bac du Sauvage allows you to cross the Petit Rhône and see the river from a different angle.
The route continues through typical Camargue landscapes before returning to Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer via Astouin, Cabanes de Cambon and the Ornithological Park.
Return via the Cacharel road.
Méjanes estate (36 km)
To the east of the village, follow the D38A “route de Cacharel”.
After a few kilometers, a path marked “Le Méjanes” leads you to the Domaine de Méjanes, located on the edge of the Vaccarès National Reserve.
This route passes through a variety of natural areas, allowing you to observe the local flora and fauna.
Return by the same route.
Etang de Vaccarès (70 km)
From east of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, follow the seawall towards the Gacholle lighthouse.
Continue to the Comtesse parking lot, cross the Salins de Badon and then reach La Capelière, an interpretation center dedicated to Camargue nature.
Continue towards Villeneuve and Méjanes before returning to the village.
La Petite Camargue (20 km)
Heading for Aigues-Mortes, follow the D38, then cross the Petit Rhône on the Bac du Sauvage (free passage every 30 minutes).
After the Pont de Sylvéréal, take the road to Astouin then Cabanes de Cambon before returning to Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.
